Abstract

The article presents a general outline of the idea of sustainable development and the principle of social solidarity. A very important dimension of the assumptions of sustainable development is the construction of a pattern of social life. It is about methods of action that will make it possible to reduce social tensions, especially in situations of social stratification. The aim of this article is to reflect on the idea of social solidarity in the context of education for sustainable development. For if the diagnosis of threats to the modern world, as well as the remedy for these threats in the form of education, to some extent coincide with the voice of various entities and groups, this may mean a common field for action to improve the situation. There is a justified and urgent need for both theoretical references to crisis phenomena, as well as real actions that will contribute to the construction of a new model of sustainable change in social life.
