Teachers’ concepts of educational experience in the context of music education in grades 1-3. Phenomenographic reconstruction

Abstract

This article presents the results of qualitative research, aimed at phenomenological reconstruction of teacher concepts of educational experience in relation to music education, implemented in classes 1-3.The theoretical part contains an introduction to research questions and basic concepts related to music education in early childhood, as well as to the teacher and competences.The methodological part contains information about phenomenography as a research approach and a description of its use in conducted research.The empirical part contains a description of the categories in which the surveyed teachers experience and conceptualize the process of music education.The article ends with a discussion on the results and conclusions for everyday pedagogical practice.
