Hilarion (Troitsky) Vision of Reforms Orthodox Theological Education

Abstract

At the beginning of the 20th century religious education in Russia has been undergoing a serious crisis triggered by social transformation. The approach to development the educational system motivated the Orthodox community. Between a difference vision of reforms the most interesting had represented Hilarion (Troitsky) – professor and prorector at The Moscow Theological Academy. It has been fluctuating around creations of new type religious academy, concentrated on the spiritual development of their pupils and the personality of future monks.
