Abstract

The issues raised in the presented work are closely related to the development of idea od pedagogical relation that occupy a particularly important place in contemporary research interest of the main representaives of phenomenological pedagogy in the world such as Max van Manen, Tone Saevi or Carina Henricsson. Summoned researchers are particularly inspired by the research traditition of the so–called Utrecht School and the concept of phenomenology of practice which Max van Manen, Martinus Langeveld student developped. They share the influence of Emmanuel Levinas and the concept of the pedagogical relations they develop put at the center of their ethical perspective heteronomy and vulnerablility of the child and the responsability of the adult person. The issue of heteronomy revels its great importance for pedagogical perspective of the peace experience. The second part on the article focuses on several inspirations from Lennart Vriens who conducted lifeworld research in the area of peace education.

The results of the analysis clearly indicate a huge need for the further reflection on what peace is for children and what ethical and pedagogical knowledge do we really need to build peace. Each of us individually as a person and as a community.
